Embra Terms of Service

Welcome to Embra. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Embra Student Intelligence Platform, including our web and mobile interfaces, dashboards, and associated services (collectively, the "Platform" or "Service").
By using Embra, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.
1. What Embra Is
Embra is a student-first software platform designed to help law and professional students track their well-being, academic progress, and long-term goals. We provide tools like mood check-ins, milestone planning, and learning insights all built with your privacy and clarity in mind.
Embra is not a replacement for your school's official learning management system or academic record.
2. Who Can Use Embra
You must be:
- At least 18 years old, or
- Enrolled in a higher education program with appropriate guardian consent
You may use Embra only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms.
3. Your Account
You are responsible for:
- Keeping your login credentials safe
- Only entering information that belongs to you
- Respecting other users if you interact via community or mentorship features (when available)
You may delete your account at any time by emailing: adrianbond@myembra.com
4. Your Data and Privacy
You own your data. Embra will never sell your personal information. Please read our Privacy Policy to understand what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Highlights:
- You control what you enter (mood logs, journals, milestones, etc.)
- You can delete your data at any time
- Schools or partners only receive anonymous, aggregate insights never your personal mood logs or journal content
- We are FERPA-aligned and do not access academic records without permission
5. Content You Submit
Anything you upload or enter into Embra like journal entries, outlines, or notes stays yours. You give Embra permission to use your content only to deliver the services you've requested (e.g., show insights or track progress). We will never share your personal content with others without your consent.
6. Platform Use & Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Use Embra in a way that violates any laws or school policies
- Try to reverse-engineer or tamper with the platform
- Upload harmful, abusive, or inappropriate content
- Share personal data from others without permission
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
7. Service Availability
We aim to provide uninterrupted access, but we can't guarantee the platform will always be available. We may suspend or modify the Service for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues. We are not responsible for any data loss though we take strong measures to prevent it.
8. Changes to the Platform
We are always improving Embra. That means features may change over time. Some features (like mentor tools or dashboards) may be introduced or removed based on user needs and funding.
We'll notify you of any major changes that impact your experience.
9. Third-Party Links and Tools
Some Embra features may link to external websites or tools (e.g., bar prep sites). We are not responsible for their content, policies, or availability.
Use them at your own discretion.
10. Termination
You can stop using Embra at any time. We may suspend or delete your account if:
- You violate these Terms
- You misuse the service or harm other users
- You request account deletion
Deleted accounts will lose access to all stored data unless exported beforehand.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law:
- Embra is not responsible for academic outcomes, mental health decisions, or legal claims arising from how you use the platform
- Embra is not a healthcare service or legal advisor
- Use of Embra is at your own discretion and risk
We provide helpful insights but you're always in charge of your academic and personal choices.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
